Brief Description about the Department:

This department promotes Savings through Post Office Savings Schemes, Renewal of Agencies, Small Savings Progress Reports, Maintenance of Monthly small savings Figure, Government Loans and Shares, Guarantee Commission of different institutions and Conducting Group Insurance Inspection at all the Government Offices in the District.

Important Events:

Sanchaika Day : Every year 15^th September observed as Sanchaika Day

i.e. opening of accounts on behalf of Schools and

Colleges.

World Thrift Day: Every year 30^th October observed as World Thrift Day or

World Savings Day.
